ABOUT
A career connecting science, data
and environmental development.
I am a Brazilian environmental scientist, biologist and data analyst based in Poland. My work connects applied environmental practice, biodiversity, quantitative analysis, research, education and technical communication.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK
One trajectory.
Several ways of working with evidence.
Environmental practice shaped the questions. Research expanded the methods. Data connected the two.
My professional path began in Biological Sciences and education, then developed through applied environmental consultancy, fieldwork, biodiversity assessment and technical reporting. Working across environmental projects taught me to look beyond isolated tasks and understand how evidence moves from the field to databases, analysis, interpretation and decisions.
That applied experience led naturally into postgraduate research. During my MSc and PhD, I worked with environmental impact assessment, licensing, methodological quality, quantitative analysis, public perception, scientometrics and scientific communication. Research gave me additional tools for asking whether environmental information is not only available, but also robust, traceable and useful.
Today, I bring these strands together. Depending on the question, my work may involve biodiversity evidence, a large environmental dataset, an analytical workflow, a technical report, a research collaboration or a learning activity. What connects them is the same principle: understand the context, work carefully with the evidence and communicate the result clearly.
A CONNECTED WAY OF WORKING
From observation to a result that can be used.
I see environmental evidence as a connected process. Decisions made at one stage affect the quality and interpretation of everything that follows.
01
Field
Understand what was observed, how it was sampled and which limitations begin at the point of collection.
02
Data
Structure records, document variables, check consistency and preserve the context needed for later analysis.
03
Analysis
Choose methods that fit the question, study design and uncertainty rather than forcing the data into a preferred technique.
04
Interpretation
Connect results back to the environmental, scientific or operational context in which the question exists.
05
Communication
Translate evidence into clear figures, reporting, research outputs or learning materials suited to the audience.
PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY
A path built across practice, research and education.
The stages below are intentionally selective. The CV contains the complete chronological record; here, the focus is on how the main parts of my professional identity developed.
2009–2012
Biological Sciences, education & early scientific work
Bachelor’s degree and teaching qualification in Biological Sciences, alongside school-level teaching and monitoring activities and early involvement in scientific and educational projects.
2013–2019
Applied environmental consultancy
Full-time environmental work at Biota Projetos e Consultoria Ambiental, spanning fauna, environmental assessment, field programmes, epidemiological surveillance, environmental education, databases, technical reporting and coordination across multiple project contexts.
2016–2018
MSc in Environmental Sciences
Research at the Federal University of Goiás examining the biotic component of terms of reference for Brazilian hydropower Environmental Impact Assessments.
2019–2023
PhD in Natural Resources of the Cerrado
Doctoral research at the State University of Goiás, with a research focus in Environmental Sciences and work involving environmental licensing and impact assessment, quantitative modelling, scientometrics, public perception and scientific information.
2020–2022
Biodiversity monitoring collaboration & coordination
Voluntary coordination within the UFG–Anglo American biodiversity-monitoring partnership, supporting field activities, teams and technical interfaces. This was a partnership role rather than direct employment by Anglo American.
NOW
An international perspective from Poland
Bringing together environmental science, biodiversity, data analysis, research, education and technical communication while remaining open to professional and research collaboration across borders.
INDEPENDENT WORK & INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION
Independent projects.
Collaboration across borders.
Remote consultancy from Brazil · Voluntary collaborations from Poland
Alongside formal employment, my experience includes independent consultancy assignments and voluntary research and technical collaborations with professionals in Brazil.
Between 2020 and 2023, I undertook remote, project-based environmental consultancy assignments while based in Brazil. These involved environmental assessment, biodiversity and ecological studies, data organisation and technical reporting.
Since moving to Poland in 2023, I have also contributed remotely and voluntarily, on a project-by-project basis, to environmental, scientific and analytical work led by professionals in Brazil. Depending on the project, my contributions have included environmental and statistical analyses, dataset organisation and validation, scientific literature reviews, interpretation of research findings, and the preparation and review of technical and scientific materials.
Across these forms of work, I bring together environmental knowledge, quantitative methods, research and technical communication, adapting my contribution to the needs of each project.
WHAT SHAPES MY APPROACH
Rigour is useful when it improves the work.
These are practical working principles rather than abstract values. They guide how I approach environmental, analytical, research and educational tasks.
01
Evidence before assumptions
Start with what the available evidence can actually support, and make uncertainty visible rather than hiding it.
02
Traceability matters
Well-structured data, QA/QC, documentation and reproducible workflows make results easier to verify, update and reuse.
03
Context changes the method
A technically sophisticated method is only useful if it fits the question, sampling design, evidence and decision context.
04
Clarity is part of the work
Analysis, research and field evidence become more useful when the reasoning and limitations can be understood by the people who need to act on them.
EDUCATION & ACADEMIC GROUNDING
